It’s wonderful to hear that Dian Ellison from Reis Insurance Agency is volunteering her time at Grow-To-Share, a non-profit organization. Grow-To-Share has two main initiatives: The Grow To Share Pantry Garden and the Grow-to-Share Community Garden.
The Grow to Share Pantry Garden is a non-profit organization where volunteers grow produce specifically for distribution to the River Falls Community Food Pantry and other organizations that support people in need. This initiative aims to provide fresh, nutritious food to individuals and families who may be facing food insecurity. By growing their own produce, volunteers can make a direct and positive impact on the community by addressing hunger and promoting healthy eating habits.
The Grow to Share Community Garden also allows individuals to rent plots for personal gardening purposes. People who rent these plots can use them to grow their own fruits, vegetables, herbs, or flowers. This initiative promotes self-sufficiency, community engagement, and a connection to nature. It provides an opportunity for individuals to learn about gardening, cultivate their own food, and enjoy the benefits of outdoor activities.
The Grow-To-Share programs have an important role in supporting the River Falls community. Dian Ellison’s involvement as a volunteer demonstrates her commitment to making a positive impact and helping those in need.
